Magnetic separators are used for the continuous pre-cleaning of magnetic abrasion. They are often mounted directly above a belt filter. In combination with a belt filter – and optionally fine filters – large amounts of contaminants can be effectively filtered within a compact space.

Levitated particles in the liquid are guided past the magnetic roller together with the liquid - in the opposite direction of rotation. Ferromagnetic particles adhere to the drum surface and are removed by a scraper. An additional pressure roller minimizes coolant carry-out, ensuring efficient separation with minimal fluid loss.
